Gladys Ostrom, Ph.D., CET Gladys Ostrom was born in Schenectady, New York. She is a certified expressive therapist with the National Expressive Therapy Association. The Satellite Program, Creative Artistic Training is listed with the National Expressive Therapy Association for the National Institute of Expressive Therapy. Gladys has been certified by the St. Nicholas Training Center for the Montessori Method of Education. She attended Bates College, Lewiston, Maine, and has a Masters of Arts degree in wholistic education with a minor in humanistic and transpersonal psychology from Beacon College, Washington, D.C. She has a Ph.D. In expressive therapy from the National Institute of Expressive Therapy. She also is certified by both the Famous Writers and the Famous Artists Schools in Westport, Connecticut. Gladys is the executive secretary of the National Association for Creative Children and Adults. She has served on the Board of Trustees for the Montessori School of Schenectady and has served as the vice president of the Zonta Club of Schenectady. The author of The Funny Book, Touch-Me Letters book, Leggys in Letter-Land and Leggys in Number-Land, Gladys also has published many of her articles in the Gifted Child Quarterly and The Creative Child and Adult Quarterly. She has also been published in Mensa 28, Research Journal. It was through her interest in imagery, creativity, and the will that Creative Artistic Training evolved. Creative Artistic Training, otherwise known as CAT, is a complete system of interrelated imagery workshops designed to facilitate the client in the awakening of creativity. It includes a series of workshops in imagery, art theory, and counseling while using drawing, writing, movement, and communication skills. |
